The apartment is located at Vicolo Ranocchi 1, in the heart of the Quadrilatero, Bologna’s most distinctive historic district. This ancient maze of medieval alleyways, artisan shops, and food markets is the vibrant beating heart of the city, and the most iconic and authentic area to experience.
Just a short walk away is Piazza Maggiore, Bologna’s main square, surrounded by some of the city’s most important landmarks, including Palazzo d’Accursio, Palazzo del Podestà, and the majestic Palazzo Re Enzo, which can be seen directly from the apartment’s windows.
Also in the square stands the famous Fountain of Neptune, one of the symbols of the Italian Renaissance, while just behind it rises the Basilica of San Petronio, one of the largest churches in Europe, known for its unfinished façade and for housing the longest meridian line in the world.
